Secure and easy to use online backup service

Backing up using StorIce online backup service is very secure and easy to use. After installation and setting what and when to backup, the process is fully automated and will complete without any user invention. Data is initially fully backed up and after that only changes are backed up, even if the changes are only part of a file. This minimizes traffic yet keeps complete backups.

Backup is performed in the following manner:

• All management is through a central management console (installed at the customers site)
• Data to be protected is compressed and encrypted on the computer being backd up
• The encrypted and compressed data is then transferred to the StorIce secure facility
• Only changed data is transferred
• If i.e. a 100 MB database file is selected that only has 1 MB of that changed since last backup, only this 1 MB will be backed up in the next run.
• Computers will backup as long it is connected to the internet
• Completely secure and protected, no data leaves the computer unencrypted.
• I.e. laptops will backup through any Internet connection*
• You only pay for used data space in our storage facility
• There are no extra hidden costs in number of computers and servers
• The data owner is the only one holding the encryption key to the encrypted data
