Few Windows 2003 servers do not run backup policies on time.

note: To be able to perform this procedure you need to have Administrator rights on the server.

Fix for this is the following:

  1. Browse to C:\Program Files\StorIce\Backup Agent\Agents\[MacnineName].[PolicyName]\Policies\ there is file named policy.dat if there is an file named policy.plc Right click the policy.plc -> Rename, rename the file to policy.plc.old
  2. Right click Copy of policy.dat -> copy Right click again -> paste this will create new file named "Copy of policy.dat"
  3. Right click the new file -> Rename, rename the file to policy.plc

To activate the changes Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services find Backup Service Monitor right click -> Restart.

This has only appered on few server machines and will be rectified in versions following 2.9.23.
