StorIce online backup needs the following firewall settings.

Following TCP ports need to be open from internal network to the internet

1977 and 1980

All communication originates from the internal network were the data source is (the customer computer), there for it is sufficient that the firewall can open these ports for outgoing traffic only.

Most firewalls will let outgoing traffic through, however some newer firewalls need to be opened up for outgoing traffic on those ports above.
